Mark Farish - Sr. Pastor
Mark is from Irving, the former home of the Dallas Cowboys. He has been pastor at Lake Highlands since 1992. He graduated from Baylor University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and pastored 3 other churches prior to LHBC. He and his wife Teresa, who is a school teacher in Garland, have 2 kids--Mindy, an '09 graduate from Texas A&M (Whoop!) and David.

Brandon Bachtel - Students, Singles & Associate Pastor
Brandon joined the staff at LHBC in August of 2005. He is a graduate of Texas A&M Commerce (where he played football), although he tries to tell everyone that he is a "Longhorn" not an Aggie. He is married to Kelley who teaches school in Richardson. Brandon likes all the manly sports but he has had to shift to a lot of computer simulated games as he has aged.

Trey Groves - Worship & Music Pastor
Trey came to  LHBC in the Fall of 2007, after having served in several churches--the most recent of which was a church start in Indianna. He is not new to the neighborhood, however, because he grew up in the White Rock Lake area and graduated from Bryan Adams High School. He is also a graduate of Howard Payne Univ. Trey and his wife, Tami, have 4 kids-- Taylor, Quaid, Mav . . . and new arrival--Jillian.

Christy Johnson - Education
Christy and her family (Rob and their 5 girls) have been members of LHBC since 1996 and on staff since 2006. Christy is from the "Greater Crandall area" (that is a joke only a very few will understand). Christy has a heart for ministry and is a gifted administrator. (Shoot, anybody that can take care of 6 kids--I mean 5 and Rob--has got to be good at administration!)

Ashley Hayes - Children's Ministry Coordinator
Ashley joined us in August of 09, coming from the deep South . . . south Oak Cliff that is. A graduate of Duncanville HS and Howard Payne U, Ashley has served on a couple of church staffs and been with the North American Mission Board working with kids in Tahoe City, Calif. Ashley directs our Life After School program and coordinates children's ministries at the church. She loves kids and their families.

Kari Kloepper - Preschool / Mother's Day Out Director
Kari has officially taken the reigns of Director from Amie, who is home taking care of her 2nd set of twins. (Don't drink the water, Kari!) Kari may be our new director, but is certainly not new to the program. She has been a teacher here since 2006 and also has a child that just "graduated" from our preschool. Kari and her husband, Chris, are proud Aggies (Whoop!) and parents of Jacob, Katie, and Hope.

Mary Ann Farish - Financial Secretary
Mary Ann joined LHBC in 1998 and the staff of LHBC in 2004. She happens to be married to Mark's brother, Tim, and has three children: Rachel, Daniel, and Lizzy. Mary Ann is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University, although it was still a college when she went there.

Kim Kelley - Secretary
Kim joined the staff in March of 2006 and brings her creative skills to the office. Kim is married to Shawn (who is our web site guru) and they have 1 daughter, Leah. Most of the time, hers is the friendly voice you get when you call. (No, we didn't mean that she is only friendly most of the time...)
